Instructor

Hello and thank you for visiting my website.  My name is Frank Migliaccio and I’m a professional guitar instructor currently teaching in Northern New Jersey (NJ).

I’ve provided some information below about my formal training, schooling and teaching experience along with some of my musical influences.  I’ve also noted some of my students’ many accomplishments.  If you have any questions please feel free to inquire.

Teaching Experience | Student Accomplishments

Using a fun and effective teaching method, I have successfully worked with hundreds of students from the ages of 6 to 60 – beginners, intermediate and advanced.  As a guitar instructor, I have a consistent track record of helping my students reach their goals and I’m always proud of my students’ accomplishments.

  • Many of my students have gone on to top music schools throughout the country, including Berklee College of Music, Manhattan School of Music and Musician’s Institute.  Many have become professional musicians and music teachers.
  • Many of my students play in their own bands or their school’s bands.  Some compete in their school’s Battle of the Bands.
  • Others participate in talent shows or recitals at school or church.
  • Many of my students approach their music studies and a fun hobby.  They take guitar lessons because they enjoy learning about music and it’s fun learning how to play guitar.
  • Some are very happy just to be able to play some of their favorite songs.

Formal Training | Professional Experience

  • Eleven years of formal training and schooling.
  • Studied with 3 of the top professional guitar instructors in Northern New Jersey, including Jim Frustieri, Anthony Rufo and Peter Prisco.
  • Earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at William Paterson University.
  • Supplemented my formal training and schooling with independent study.
  • Performed and recorded with several Northern New Jersey (NJ) and NYC bands.
  • Always involved in various recording projects, including a comprehensive instructional video series coming soon.
  • Recently published the Blitzstar Guitar Instructional Series, a structured blog on music theory as it relates to guitar playing, with lessons covering chords, scales, arpeggios and more.
